Why does Odysseus tell Polyphemus his name is Nohbdy?	Odyesseus doesn't want the Cyclopces to know his true identity.
What major mistake does Odysseus make as he is leaving Polyphemus' island?	He yells back at the cyclops and he trys to bring the ship back.
What happens if Odysseus' men touch Helios' cows?	They will try and flirt with his wife, eat all of his food and kill all his men.
Who is Scylla?	Six headed women.
Who is Sirens?	Half bird hald women.
Circe forecasts what fate for odysseus crew?	If they touch the cows everyone except for Odysseus will die and he will suffer.
What does it show about Odysseus' character when he disregards Circe's warning that weapons are useless against these perils?	He feels he is so great becuase he thinks that no one can kill him; after her was told that he can be.
How is an epic different from other stories?	They are very long and they have to have a hero trying to solve a problem.
How is Odysseus is a good character for an epic?	He used his brain and emotions to solve his problems.
How long has Odysseus been Calypso's captive?	Seven years.
Why does Zues send Hermes to free Odysseus?	Athena asks Zeus and basically begs him and Athena is Zeus' favorite.
What was the danger Odysseus' men faced in the land of the Lotus Eaters?	Meeting the Cyclops who has intention of eating him and his men.
How does Oddysseus threaten the Cyclops?	By talking about Zues thinking it will intimidate the Cyclops.
How does the Cylcops rely to this threat?	He tells him he isn not impressed not phased by Zeus. He will not let him go for the fear of Zeus.

How and why does Penelope test Odysseus?	By talking about the construction of the bed, and she does this so she can actaully find out if it is Odysseus, or an imposter.
