What is an Otic temp? Temperature obtained by using the ear.
What is an oral temp? Obtained using a digital thermometer, which is placed under the tongue with lips pressed tightly
What is an axillary temperature? Obtained by using a oral or digital thermometer. Place the tip of the thermometer into the center of the axilla.
Rectal temperature is? obtained by using a rectal or digital thermometer that is placed into the rectum.
Factors that can affect a body temperature are? Age time of day gender emotion exercise infection food,fluid,smoking
What is a pulse ? IS the measurement of the number of heart beats per minute
what are they places a pulse can be taken? Radial pulse Brachial Pulse Carotid Pulse Apical Pulse
Radial Pulse utilizing two fingers over the thumb side of the wrist
Brachial Pulse Index and second finger on the inside of the elbow with the palm of the hand facing up.
Carotid Pulse Obtained by placing index and second finger on either side of the neck running along the side of the windpipe.
Apical Pulse Obtained by using a stethoscope which is placed approximately mid nipple line on the left side of the chest.
