What is demography? | The study of vital and social statistics such as deaths, births, diseases, marriges, etc. of populations. |
What is population density? | The number of people living per unit in a certain area. |
What is birthrate? | The proportion of the number of births to the population of a certain place and time usually expressed by per 1000 of the poulation. |
What is death rate? | The number of deaths per unit of a population. |
What is migration? | The act of moving from one region or place to another. |
What are emigrants? | People who leave their country to go to another place to live. |
What are immigrants? | People from many foreign lands. |
What are push factors? | A factor that leave one no choice but to leave ones home, region, or country. |
What are pull factors? | Factors that make people want to move to a different place. |
What are refugees? | People that flee places for safety reasons usually to a different country. |
What is Assimilation? | The act of alien practices to a group or region being adopted into every day life and society. |
