Monocytes | Large white blood cells that can migrate into connective tissue through endothelial cells. |
Macrophage | Refers to a monocyte which has left the blood vessels and enters connective tissue. |
Neutrophils | A type of white blood cell in the innate immune system which attacks invaders quickly and in large numbers. |
T-Cells/B-Cells | Lymphocytes that are selective, attacking invaders that monocytes and neutrophils cannot recognize and destroy. |
Selectins | Large molecules which help immune cells locate the site of an infection. |
