epicenter | the point on earths surface directly above an earthquakes focus |
crest | the highest point of a wave |
magnitude | the measurement of energy released by a earthquake |
liquefacation | when earthquakes cause soil to act more like a liquid |
tsunamis | ocean waves caused by earthquakes |
