Tissues | A group of similar cells that work together to do the same job. |
Organs | Structures, such as the heart, made up of different types of tissues that all work together. |
Organ System | A group of organs that works together to perform body functions. |
Nucleus | Organelle that controls all the activities of a cell and contains DNA. |
Organism | Any living thing that is made of cells, uses energy, reproduces, responds, and grows and develops. |
Bacteria | Microorganism made up of a single cell without a nucleus. It can be helpful or cause diseases. |
Virus | A strand of hereditary material without a nucleus, organelles or cell membrane. It causes diseases. |
Specialized Cells | Cells that are designed for specific purposes or jobs. |
Organelle | The structures inside a cell having some specific function. Ex. Nucleus |
