| Question | Answer |
| Characterization | Information about a character. May describe the character's physcial appearance, personality, speech, behavior and actions. |
| Point of view | The person who is telling the story. |
| First person | The main character is telling the story. You can tell because the author uses words like I and me and they are not in quotes. |
| Third person | The narrator is telling the story. You will see words like he, she, and they. |
| Theme | The author's point or message. What the author is trying to teach the reader about life |
| Mood | The feeling that a writer wants the reader to have while reading. |
| Foreshadowing | The use of clues to suggest events that will occur later in the plot. |
