Sun | the star that the Earth moves around and that gives the Earth heat and light |
Moon | the large round object that circles the Earth and that shines at night by reflecting light from the sun |
temperature | a measurement that indicates how hot or cold something is |
mass | a measure of the amount of matter in a solid, liquid, or gas |
system | a group of related parts that move or work together |
energy | ability to be active |
model | a usually small copy of something |
freshwater | relating to, or living in water that is not salty |
characteristics | typical of a person, thing, or group |
precipitation | water that falls to the ground as rain, snow, etc. |
air temperature | a measurement of how hot or cold the air is |
wind direction | the direction from which the wind is blowing |
heat energy | a form of energy that is transferred by a difference in temperature. |
weather | the state of the air and atmosphere at a particular time and place |
