What is the water cycle? | The earth has a limited amount of water. The water keeps going around and around |
What is evaporation? | When the sun heats up water in rivers, lakes or the ocean and turns it into vapors or steam |
Do plants sweat? | Plants transpire. Transpiration is the process by which plants lose water out of their leaves. |
What is condensation? | Water vapor in the air gets cold and changes back into liquid, forming clouds. |
What is precipitation? | When so much water has condensed that the air cannot hold it anymore. Water falls back to the earth in either rain, hail, sleet or snow. |
What is collection? | When water falls back to earth as precipitation. When it ends up on land, it either soaks into the ground or runs over soil to collect in oceans, lakes or rivers. |
