Hypothesis | an educated guess |
Variable | any factor that can be controlled, changed or measured in an experiment |
Independent Variable | the one condition you can change in an experiment |
Dependent Variable | the variable that you measure or observe, the dependent variable depends on the independent variable |
Controlled Variable (constant variable) | a variable that doesn't change during an experiment |
Ecology | the study of the interactions of living organisms with one another |

Species | a group of living organisms consisting of similar individuals capable of exchanging genes or interbreeding. |

Food Web | a system of interlocking and interdependent food chains |
