Isthmus | narrow piece of land that connects to larger pieces of land |

Glacier | a slow moving piece of ice on the side of a mountain |
plateau | a large flat area of land that is higher than other areas of land that surround it |

Landforms | Natural features on the earth's surface (lake, mountain, plateau) |
Latitude | Distance measured north or south of the equator |
Longitude | Distance measured east or west of the Prime Meridian |
Relative Location | Describing where something is using landmarks and directions. Ex- I live north of the Missouri River |
Continents | One of 7 large land masses on Earth |
