Term | Definition |
chemical property | a characteristic/trait that can only be made evident by sparking a chemical reaction. |
physical property | a characteristic/property that can be made evident using the five senses. |
toxic/toxicity | materials that are poisonous if inhaled, ingested, or absorbed through the skin. |
reacts/reaction | the result/aftermath of a chemical experiment. |
density | the compactness/concentration of an object; mass/volume. |
mass | the amount of matter in an object. |
volume | the amount of space that an object takes up. |
quantitative data | numerical data; data that can be measured and/or expressed through numbers and values. |
conduct | to move electrical particles along in a stream known as an electrical current. |
transparent | see-through; non-opaque; easy for light to pass through. |
translucent | partially see-through; allows some light to pass through but not all. |
opaque | cannot see through; does not allow any light pass through. |
hazardous material | material that poses some sort of threat to living organisms, specifically humans. |
