Term | Definition |
Carrier Squelch | A part of a radio that can help reduce static and background noise while transmitting. |
UHF band | A band that can easily penetrate the walls of buildings and travels short distances with a good signal. |
VHF band | A band that is best used outside and carries radio signals longer but the signal may be not as good quality as a UHF band. |
HF band | A band that travels the farthest but has by far the weakest signal. |
