Natural Resources | Part of Earth's enviroment that supply materials useful or necessary for the survival of living organisms. |
Renewable Resources | Natural resources, such as water, sunlight, and crops, that are constantly being recycled by nature. |
Non-renewable Resources | Natural resources, such as petroleum, minerals and metals, that are used more as than they can be replaced by natural process |
Fossil Fuel | Non-renewable energy sources - coal, oil, and natural gas- that formed in the Earth's crust over hundreds of millions of years ago. |
Hydro-electric Power | Electricity produced when the energy of falling water turns the blades of a generator turbine. |
Nuclear Energy | Energy produced by from the splitting apart of billions of uranium nuclei by a nuclear fission. |
Geothermal energy | Heat within Earth's crust, available only when gyesers or volcano's are. |
Peteroleum | Nonrenewable resouce formed over hundred of millions of years mostly from the remains of microscopic marine organisms buried in thje earths crust. |
