amplitude | volume of the wave(height of the wave) |
frequency | pitch, high or low (length of a wave) |
loudness (volume) | Your perception of the energy of the sound |
Sound | Vibrations that travel through air or another medium and can be heard when they reach a person or animals ear |
vocal cords | A pair of flaps on either side of the larynx that are responsible for the production of sound including speech |

Inner ear | The cochleas a snail shaped tube that is lined wit receptors (tiny hair cells that shakes back and forth) that respond to sound |
