Groundwater Discharge | Groundwater discharge is the volumetric flow rate of groundwater through an aquifer. |
Groundwater Recharge | Is when the water moves down into the ground (into the water table) |
Confined Aquifer | Is when the water from the ground rises |
Unconfined Aquifer | Is when the water seeps into the confined aquifer because the impermeable layer does not exist |
Artesian well | Is an confined aquifer containing groundwater |
Water table | the level below which the ground is saturated with water. |
Infiltration | to pass through something with gaps and such |
Percolation | is the process of a liquid slowly passing through a filter |
Transpiration | is essentially evaporation of water from plant leaves. |
Precipitation | Rain, snow, hail!!! |
Evaporation | The changing of a liquid into a gas, often under the influence of heat |
Condesation | water that collects as droplets on a cold surface when humid air is in contact with it. |
