Hypothesis | a statement of what you think will happen during an investigation . |
Observation | is something you find about objects ,events, or living things by using your scenes. |
Variable | is something that can change in a test. |
Control Group | the group that doesn't get the special treatment. |
Procedures | are step-by-step instructions for completing a task. |
Data | are information from which a conclusion can be drawn or a prediction can be made. |
Precision | is the ability to consistent repeat a measurement. |
Accuracy | is the ability to make a measurement that is as close to the actual value as possible. |
Inference | is a conclusion based on observations. |
Evidence | are observations that make you believe that something is true. |
Independent Variable | is one that you can control. |
Dependent Variable | changes when an independent variable changes,it is what get's measured ,and it gives you data. |
Experiment | use of scientific methods to test you hypothesis. |
Model | objects or ideas that represent other things. |
Survey | can be questions that are answered by people,and great for opinion questions. |
Sampling | examining random individuals from a population. |
Experimental Group | the group that gets the special treatment |
