Meiosis | a Special type of cell division or cell cycle undergone by body cells in order to turn them into sex cells, necessary for sexual reproduction. in meiosis,the mitosis and cytokines stages of a cell cycle happen twice ending with the creation of 4 cells. |
Metaphase | the stage of mitosis or meiosis in with condensed and highly coiled chromosomes, carrying genetic information, align in the middle of cell before being separated into each of two daughter cells. Metaphase accounts for 4% of the cell cycles duration. |
mitosis | the stage of a cells cycle during which the cells nucleus divides into two new nuclei and one copy of the DNA is distributed onto each newly created cell. |
prophase | the stage of meiosis and mitosis in which chromatin condenses into a highly overdured structure that is called a chromosome in which it is more visible. |
