Term | Definition |
series circuit | an electric circuit in which the devices are connected in one continuous loop |
parallel circuit | an electric circuit in which each device has its own separate loop |
closed circuit | a complete electrical circuit around which current flows |
open circuit | an incomplete electrical circuit in which no current flows |
electrical circuit | a complete path of conductors that an electric current can flow through |
switch | a device on a circuit that can open and close the pathway |
battery | (Source of energy) having two ends or poles. One is positive and the other is negative. Electricity can flow from a power source to something else if there is a complete or closed circuit. |
