autotroph | Organism that makes its own food. |
heterotroph | Organism that cannot make its own food. |
pigment | Colored chemical compounds that absorb light. |
chlorophyll | The main photosynthesis pigment in chloroplasts. |
stomata | Small openings in the bottom of the leaves that carbon dioxide enters through. |
respiration | The process by which cells obtain energy from glucose. |
fermentation | Is an energy realeasing process that does not require oxygen. |

cytokinesis | The final stage of the cell cycle, in which the cell's cytoplasm divides, distributes the organelles into each of the two new cells. |
