Atom | The smallest particle of a substance that has all the properties of that substance |
Nucleus | the center of an atom, made of protons and neutrons |
Electron | a particle that is in the space around the nucleus of an atom and has a negative charge |
Proton | a particle that is in the nucleus of an atom and does not have a charge |
Neutron | a particle that is in the nucleus of an atom and does not have a charge |
Circuit | a complete path of conductors that an electric current can flow through |
Current | a constant flow of electrons through a conductor |
Electrical Charge | a property of matter; charge can be positive or negative |
Static electricity | the build up of electric charges in an object |
Magnet | an object that attracts iron and a few other magnetic materials |
