Consumer | A living thing that eats other living things as food. |
Herbivores | A consumer that only eats plants. |

Omnivore | Animals that eat both plants and animals. |
Decomposers | A living thing that breaks down dead things for food. |
Food chain | Shows the path of energy from one living thing to another. |
Energy pyramid | Shows that the amount of usable energy in an ecosystem is less for each higher animal in the food chain. |
Food web | A model that shows how food chains overlap. |
Predator | An animal that hunts another animal for food. |
Prey | An animal that is being hunted. |
