Hypothesis | A statement of what you think will happen during an investigation. |
Observation | Something you find out about objects, events, or living things by using your senses. |
Experiment | The use of scientific methods to test your hypothesis. |
Model | Are objects or ideas that represent other things. |
Survey | A question given to many people, Ether given on the phone or in person. |

control group | the grope that doesn't receive special treatment. |
Procedures | Step-by-step instructions for completing a task. |
Sampling | Scientists examine random individuals from a population. |
independent variable | is one that you can change or control |
dependent variable | Changes when an independent variable change. can be measured. |
experimental group | Dose receive special treatment. |
Data | It is information from which a conclusion can be drawn or a prediction can be made. |
Precision | Is the ability to consistently make a measurement. |
Accuracy | Is the ability to make a measurement that is as close to the actual value as possible. |
Inference | Is a conclusion based on observation. |
Evidence | Are observations that make you believe that something is true. |
