Bias | A slated view or 1 sided |
Conclusion | secret or illegal cooperation or conspiracy, esp. in order to cheat or deceive others |
Constant | Variable that stays the same during an experiment |
Control | Sample that is treated like other experimental groups except that the independent variable is not applied to it |
Data | facts and statistics collected together for reference or analysis |
Dependent Variable | Factor that is being measured during an experiment |
Evidence | the available body of facts or information indicating whether a belief or proposition is true or valid. |
Experiment | a scientific procedure undertaken to make a discovery, test a hypothesis, or demonstrate a known fact. |
Hypothesis | Prediction or statement that can be tested and may be formed by prior knowledge any previous observation and new information |
Independent Variable | Variable that can be changed during an experiment |
Inference | a conclusion reached on the basis of evidence and reasoning. |
model | Represents something that is too big too small too dangerous to time consuming or too expensive to observe directly |
Observation | the action or process of observing something or someone carefully or in order to gain information. |
Scientific Method | Ways to solve problems that can included step by step plans, making models, and carefully thought out experiments |
