Timeline | A tool that shows events which happened within a specific time period in chronological order; helps us study the past |
Prehistoric Indians | Indians that have NO primary source of WRITTEN language; no one wrote anything for us to read about them at the time they were alive. |
Historic Indians | Indians that HAVE a primary source of WRITTEN language; someone wrote about them for us to read about them at the time they were alive. |
Primary Source of Information | Source of information that was made or done by the people who were there at the time; 1st hand account. |
Secondary Source of Information | Source of information that was made or done by the people who were NOT there at the time; take lots of primary sources and combine. 2nd hand account |
Evidence of cooperation | Proof that a group or tribe WORKED TOGETHER for a common goal. |
Evidence of Conflict | Proof of problems or DISAGREEMENTS between each other or other groups |
Cultural Practices | The things the people of a culture DO. Includes foods they eat and things that they believe. |
Cultural Products | The things the people of a culture MAKE. Includes things they buy and use. |
Barter | To TRADE goods(stuff) WITHOUT using or exchanging money. (Trading cards) |
