Term | Definition |
Access Copyright | A Canadian company that properly distributes money to owners of content every time their content is used. |
Copyright | Having exclusive legal rights to reproduce, sell, or publish work. |
Intellectual Property | Having legal rights that result from intellectual activity. |
Royalty | A payment to have access to content. |
Trade-Marks | It can be a word, a design, or a combination of the both. This symbolizes the good or service. |
Public Domain | Publicly available content that is free to use. |
Moral Rights | An author's or creators right to his or her work. |
Performing rights | Having the right to be able to perform your work. |
Plagiarism | Using someone else's work and trying to take credit for it. |
Fair Dealing | Being allowed to use content for purposes such as research, studying, reviews etc. |
Patent. | Having the right to exclude others from making, using or selling an idea. |
Blanket License | Basically you pay a fee and you get a license to have access to the content. A song for example. |
