Atoms | The tiny particles that are the building blocks of all chemical elements. |

Nuclear Reaction | The breaking apart or joining together of nuclei within atoms. |
Heat Energy | The energy involved in the movement of atoms and molecules |
Light Energy | The energy involved in the motion of electromagnetic waves. |
Amplitude | The distance from the rest position to the maximum arc of a wave. This is related to the height of the wave. |
Wavelength | The distance between two corresponding parts of a wave. For example, the distance from one crest to the next crest (or trough to trough). |
Frequency | The number of waves that pass a given point in a certain amount of time. |
