What is a compound? | A substance that is made from two or more simpler substances and can be broken down into more simpler substances. EX. Sillicon Dioxide |
What is a solution? | When substances disslove and form a homogenous mixture, the mixture that forms is a solution. |
What is suspension? | A heterogeneous mixture that separates into layers over time. |
What is colloid? | Contains some particles that are intermediate in size between the small partials and large particles in a suspension. |
What is a heterogeneous mixture? | The parts of the mixture are noticably different from one anthoer. |
What is a homogeneous? | The parts of a mixture are evenly distributed throughout the substance. |
