Dotted Half Note | A note that represents three beats of sound when the quarter not receives the beat. |
Whole Note | A note that represents four beats of sound when the quarter note receives the beat. |
Whole Rest | A note that represents four beats of silence when the quarter note receives the beat. |
Major Scale | Do to Do |
Natural Minor Scale | La to La |
Eighth Note | A note that receives half a beat of sound when the quarter note receives the beat. |
Eighth Rest | A rest that receives half a beat of silence when the quarter note receives the beat. |
Major Tonic Triad | Do,Mi,So; built on the 1,3,& 5 notes of the major scale. |
Interval | The distance between 2 notes. |
Tie | A curved line used to connect two or more notes of the same pitch in order to make one longer note. |
Dotted Quarter | 1 1/2 beats of sound. |
Minor Tonic Triad | La, Do, Mi; built on the 1st, 3rd, and 5th notes of the minor scale |
