Describe the subacute phase of frozen shoulder.   "stiffening phase"; severe pain tends to diminish.

What are some relavant health history qu's?   - Previous injury/sugery?- Underlying conditions?- Location of pain?- Disruption of sleep?- What actions are limited?- Medically diagnosed?

What are the Gait and Posture findings?   They will favour their arm and there could be hyperkyphosis.

What are the palpation findings?   -Dysuse atrophy and fibrosis, TP and hypertonic muscles of the shoulder girdle.

What are the acute ROM findings?   - Decreased AF rom due to pain (watch for compensation).- Decreased PR rom due to pain - AR is full strength due to it being a joint issue.

What are the chronic ROM findings?   AF/PR return to normal, AR decreased possible to reduced stregth for compensating structures.

What are the short term goals of massage and frozen shoulder?   - Decrease pain, SNS firing and treat compensating structures.- Decrease adhesions- Decrease trigger points.- Mobilize HYPOmobile joints with joint play.

What hydro do we use for frozen shoulder?   Heat to compensating strucutres to maintain ROM and ice to inflammed structures.

What is a good Remex for frozen shoulder?   The pendyallum action in a pain free range.

What is a good way to bolster for frozen shoulder when the client is supine?   A towel rolled down the spine to open up the pecs.

What special tests can be used for this condition?   Apley's scratch test and passive relaxed abduction to confirm.

What tests can be used to differenciate?   Any tendinitis test or bursitis test.

What is a treatment plan for Frozen Shoulder?   treat adhesions and Tps in joint capsule, include joint play to increase successive action at the joint. Use heat on shoulder girdle. Treat shoulder girdle, upper back, neck and pecs.
