Scientific Law   A scientific law is a statement based on repeated experimental observations that describes some aspects of the universe. A scientific law always applies under the same conditions, and implies that there is a causal relationship involving its elements.
🗑
Scientific Theory   A scientific theory is a well-substantiated explanation of some aspect of the natural world that is acquired through the scientific method and repeatedly tested and confirmed through observation and experimentation.
🗑
unconformities   a surface of contact between two groups of unconformable strata.
🗑
Pangaea   Pangaea is a hypothetical supercontinent that included all current land masses, believed to have been in existence before the continents broke apart during the Triassic and Jurassic Periods.
🗑
Lithosphere   the rigid outer part of the earth, consisting of the crust and upper mantle.
🗑
Astheaosphere   the upper layer of the earth's mantle, below the lithosphere, in which there is relatively low resistance to plastic flow and convection is thought to occur.
🗑
Convection Currents   a current in a fluid that results from convection.
🗑
Seismograph   an instrument that measures and records details of earthquakes, such as force and duration.
🗑
Plateaus   an area of relatively level high ground
🗑
Contour Lines   a line on a map joining points of equal height above or below sea level.
🗑
Solstice   either of the two times in the year, the summer solstice and the winter solstice, when the sun reaches its highest or lowest point in the sky at noon, marked by the longest and shortest days.

1)Newtons 1st Law   The laws are: (1) Every object moves in a straight line unless acted upon by a force.
🗑
Median   denoting or relating to a value or quantity lying at the midpoint of a frequency distribution of observed values or quantities, such that there is an equal probability of falling above or below it.
🗑
Convex   A convex lens is a converging lens. When parallel rays of light pass through a convex lens the refracted rays converge at one point called the principal focus. The distance between the principal focus and the centre of the lens is called the focal length.
🗑
Concave   having an outline or surface that curves inward like the interior of a circle or sphere.
🗑
2)Newtons 2nd law   (2) The acceleration of an object is directly proportional to the net force exerted and inversely proportional to the object's mass.
🗑
3)Newtons 1st Law   (3) For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.
