How to hold and transfer the Binocular Compound Light Microscope?   1. carry with both hands. one hand underneath the base and one hand grasping the arm. 2.Gently place on table or on Microscope stand.

How to operate the Binocular Compound Light Microscope? Step 1.   1.start with stage down and the scanning lens (4x) in place. Turn first the coarse knob until BEST FOCUS and then fine knob for adjustment.

What is the definition of Best Focus?   Once the operator have reached a point of focus continue to turn either the coarse or fine knob a slight turn until focus is lost then return back down to best focus.

How to operate the Binocular Compound Light Microscope? Steps 2-3.   2. click the Low Power lens(10x) into place. No longer use the Coarse knob. Turn the fine knob for best focus. 3. click the High Power lens(40x) into place. Turn the fine knob for best focus.

How to operate the Binocular Compound Light Microscope? Step 4   4. Rotate nosepiece midway between the High Power lens(40x) and the Oil Immersion lens(100x). Add Immersion oil to the slide and slowly click the Oil Immersion lens(100x) into place. Open the diaphragm all the way. Use only the fine knob to focus.

How to Clean the Binocular Compound Light Microscope Oil Immersion(100x) lens? Steps 1-3   1. Remove as much Immersion Oil as possible with lens paper. 2. Place lens cleaner on one end of the cotton-tipped applicator and swab. 3. Place distilled water on the opposite end of the cotton-tipped applicator and swab.

How to Clean the Binocular Compound Light Microscope Oil Immersion(100x) lens? Step 4-5   4. Dry lens with lens paper. 5. Repeat steps 1-4 for each lens if needed.

How to Store the Binocular Compound Light Microscope? Steps 1-5   1. Cut off lamp before unplugging unit. 2. Draw the Stage down to lowest level. 3. Place nosepiece on Scanning Lens(4x). 4. Clean lenses if needed. 5. "Pony tail" the cord.
