Large intestine   Food and waste that are not digested goes here. Most of water is absorbed into blood though intestine walls.

Stomach   Food is broken down here by different substances. Processes are mostly chemicals using enzymes and hydrochloric acid. Food remains in here for 4 hours as a thick liquid.

Mouth   Mouth is where chemical and mechanical digestion takes place. Saliva here contains a enzyme that chemically breaks food down into small pieces.

Liver   The digestive organ that makes bile to break down fats. Besides making bile, the liver stores sugar until the body needs it. The liver also helps the body get rid of harmful substances.

Pancreas   The digestive organ that makes chemicals to break down proteins, carbohydrates and fats.

Peristalsis   The squeezing muscle action that pushes though the esophagus.

Saliva   The liquid that starts digestion in the mouth. It contains a digestive juice that breaks down starch into sugar.

Gallbladder   An organ that produces digestive juices.

Villi   Finger shaped bumps in the small intestine that soak up nutrients and create a large surface area.

Small intestine   The proccess is finished here.Villi goes around it. It digests then goes around the wall.
