---|---|---|---|---|---|
A squirrel climbing a tree at a rate of 2 m/s | Both
🗑
A skater is halfway down a ramp, moving at 8 mph | Kinetic Energy
🗑
A bird is flying at a velocity of 8 m/s | Both
🗑
What’s the difference between speed and velocity | speed- how fast something is going
velocity- speed with direction
🗑
Units for Speed | km/hr; m/s
🗑
Units for Velocity | km/hour SOUTH or m/s EAST
🗑
how to calculate speed | S = D/T
🗑
Acceleration | is how quickly an object changes its VELOCITY
🗑
Deceleration | is how quickly an object is decreasing its speed
🗑
CALCULATE Acceleration | velocity divided by time time
🗑
CALCULATE Distance | velocity times time
🗑
CALCULATE Velocity | distance divided by time
🗑
CALCULATE Time | distance divided by velocity
🗑
examples of acceleration | Speeding up, changing direction
🗑
examples of deceleration | Slowing down
🗑
When you CHANGE DIRECTIONS you are actually accelerating. Why? | acceleration happens whenever your VELOCITY changes.
