Patent   Patents protect inventions, but do not protect aesthetic qualities.

Trademark   These are used to distinguish the goods and services of one person or company from another.

Intellectual property   This type of property refers to non-physical forms of objects.

Access copyright   A non-profit organization that authors receive fair compensation when their works are being used.

Plagiarism   Happens when someone's work is being used improperly and without credit. A form of cheating.

Royalty   Payments that are based on a percentage of selling price from copies of a published work.
