Folic Acid Deficiency Anemia   Develops when there is a dietary deficiency of folic acid

Pernicious Anemia   Results from the body's inability to absorb vitamin B12

Blood Poisoning   The presence of harmful substances such as bacteria and toxins in the blood.

Ecchymosis   A bruise

Hemophilia   A hereditary deficiency of factor VIIII or the hemophilic factor resulting in impaired ability to clot blood and severe bleeding episodes.

Lukemia   A cancer of the blood, characterized by uncontrolled leukocyte production.

Polycythemia   Many blood cells, due to overproduction of blood cells(usually red) in the bone marrow.

Aplastic Anemia   A decrease in RBC's because of impaired bone marrow activity.
