What is the OCULAR LENS?   The top the microscope where you look through. Usually has a magnification of X10 or X15

What is the DIAPHRAGM?   Under the stage, there is a disk like structure with a bunch of different size holes, each a different size. It changes the amount and intensity of the light hitting the object

What are the 2 major rules that apply to using a microscope?   1. When holding a microscope, use both hands. One holding the arm, one supporting the base. 2. Never use the coarse adjustment knob with any other lens but the low objective lens
