Cultural Influences on Nursing care

Asians Communication styles | Many dialects, with 55 in china alone. loud talking is considered rude, nonverbal communication, reluctant to maintain eye contact with elders or superiors. |
Arab-Americans | well defined gender roles, very protective of children, elders are respected |
Appalachians | Many deny anger and tend not to complain, direct eye contact from strangers percieved as aggression or hostility. |
