Speech impairment with tongue stiffness, lower extremity paralysis, dry mouth but no thirst, cold limbs, cold sweat, weak back and knees di huang yin zi (rehmannia decoction)
“Mute paraplegia” (both legs paralyzed, speech impaired), due to both kidney yin and yang deficiency, coupled with rising fire, from deficiency. Turbid phlegm and heart fire add to the blocking of the orifices. di huang yin zi (rehmannia decoction)
