What is a saturated color? | The colors used in the color wheel |
What three groups make up the color wheel? | Primary, secondary, and tertiary |
What is a tint? | Saturated color that is mixed with pure white color |
What is a shade? | Saturated color that is mixed with pure black color |
What are three colors that are considered to be warm colors? | Red, orange, and yellow |
What are three colors that are considered to be cool colors? | Blue, green, and violet |
What are the five neutral colors? | Black, grey, white, brown, and tan |
What are the six types of color harmonies? | Monochromatic, analogous, complementary, triadic, split complementary, and neutral |
What is a monochromatic color harmony? | They are achieved by using tints and shades of only one color |
What is an analougus color harmony? | Are done by using three or more colors that are next to each other on the color wheel |
What is a complementary color harmony? | Two colors that are directly across from each other on the color wheel |
What is a triadic color harmony? | Three colors that are located within equal distance of each other |
What is a split complementary scheme? | Created by using any color and the two colors located next to that colors complement |
What is a neutral color scheme? | Any combination of blacks, grey, whites, browns, and tans |
