What three groups make up the color wheel? | Primary, Secondary, and Teritiary colors |
What is a tint? | A saturated color that is mixed with a pure white color |
What is a shade? | A saturated color that is mixed with a pure black color |
What are three colors that are considered to be warm colors? | Red, Orange, and Yellow |
What are three colors that are considered to be cool colors? | Green, Blue, and Violet |
What are five neutral colors? | Black, Grey, White, Brown, and Tan |
What are the six types of color harmonies? | Monochromatic, Analogous, Complementary, Triadic, Split Complementary, and Neutral |
What is a monochromatic color harmony? | Achieved by using tints and shades of only one color |
What is an analogous color harmony? | Using three or more colors that are next to each other on the color wheel |
What is a complementary color harmony? | Two colors that are directly across from each other on the color wheel |
What is a triadic color harmony? | Three colors that are located within equal distance of each other |
What is a split complementary scheme? | Created by using any color and the two colors located next to that colors complement |
What is a neutral color scheme? | Any combination of Blacks, Greys, Whites, Browns, and Tans |
