What is a translation? (definition) A transformation that shifts or slides every point of a figure in the same distance and direction.
What is plane symmetry? (definition) A three dimentional figure that can be divided into two conguent reflected halves by a plane.
What is a vector? (definition) A quantity that has both magnitude and direction.
What is the Line of Symmetry? (definition) A line that divides a plane figure into two congruent reflected halves.
What does it mean when two or more points are "coplanar"? The points lie on the same plane.
What does it mean when two or more points are "collinear"? The points lie on the same line.
What is an undefined term? (definition) Cannot be defined using other figures.
What is a point? (definition) An undefined term in Geometry; it has a location and has no size.
What is a line? (definition) An undefined term in Geometry; a line is a straight path that has no thickness and continues to an infinitive.
What is a vertex? (definition) The intersectionof two or more lines, segments, rays, or planes.
What is a Segment? (definition) A part of a line consisting of two endpoints and all points between them.
What is a plane? (definition) An undefined term in Geometry; a flat surface, no thickness, never-endng.
What does it mean when you have "opposite rays"? (definition) Two rays that have the same endpoint an form a line in opposite diections.
How do you label a point? Using Capital Letters.
How do you label a line? Using a lowercase cursive letter or two points.
How do you label a vertex? Using capital letters.
How do you label a plane? Using 3 points on the plane.
How do you label a line segment? Write the two endpoints with a bar above them.
How do you label an endpoint? Using capital letters.
How do you label a ray? Writing the endpoint and the other point on the ray.
How do you label opposite rays? Write the common endpoint, then the other point on the rays.
