political action committee (or PAC) provides financial support to candidates

poll questions people's opinion on the issues
pluralism a with many conflicting groups
cabinet a group of presidential advisors
lobbyist person who tries to influence law makers (provides information; an interest group)
veto to reject a law (an action of the President)
vote to make a choice for a candidate
government the institution that controls society through laws
conservative people who believe in more personal freedom and less government involvement (Republicans)
interest groups tries to influence government on a specific issue
