Geometric Terms

Point A location in space.
Line A geometric figure mabe up of infinitely many points.
Ray A part of a line that starts at a point, the end point, and continues in one directiopn.
Midpoint The point that divides a line segment into two congruent parts.
Bisector A that intersects a line segement at its midpoint.
Perpendicular Two lines segments, rays, or planes that intersect to form right angles.
Transformation A change made to the size or position of a figure.
Translation Transformation that slides each point of a figure thesame distance in thesame direction.
Reflection A transformation that flips a figure over a line.
Rotation A transformation in which every point moves along a circular path around a fixed point called the center of rotation.
