What is a computer? A computer system refers to the device used to transfer data, process information and out put as is other peripheral devices that enhance it too.
What is a CPU or a Processor? The place in the computer where processing of information takes place also known as the PROCESSOR
The CPU is composed of how many units? The CPU is composed of 3 units
Name the various units of the Central Processing Unit. Control Unit, Arithmetic and Logic Unit (ALU) Memory Unit
What is the function of a printer? It outputs the data after it has been processed
Name the two different areas where the memory stores information at. RAM, ROM
What is another name for monitors? Screens
Name the two types of monitors we have. LCD, CRT
What are PDAs? Person Digital Assistants help people input hand written notes into computers and print them out.
What are input devices? Input devices are peripheral devices that allows you to put data or information into the computer.
Name one output device Monitor
What is a projector? It is a is an output device that combines a liquid crysatal display unit with light source.
What are other names for a USB drive? Pen, Flash, jump drives or better still mobile storage device
What is an external hard drive? An external hard drive is a drive that is connected to the computer through cables to allow large quantities of data to be moved from one physical place to another.
What is the purpose of USB port? The USB port is uded to link or connect an array of devices to enhance faster transfer of information.
