root hair tissue Found in roots. Takes in water from the soil.
skin Organ used for protection and feeling.
small intestine Organ used to break up and absorb food.
stem Plant organ used to take water to the leaves and to support the leaves.
stomach Organ used to break up food.
tissue Organs are made of different tissues.
trachea More scientific name for ‘windpipe’.
windpipe Organ in the shape of a tube that takes air to and from your lungs. Also called ‘trachea’.
xylem tissue Found in roots, stems and leaves. Transports water.
