| Microtia-anotia | Condition where the pinna (outer ear) is undersized or completely absent. |
| Anotia | Complete absence of an outer ear. |
| Cup-shaped ears | Small ears that grow forward over the external auditory meatus. |
| Lop ears | Larger than normal ears and extended away from the head at a larger than normal angle. |
| Adherent earlobe | Attached earlobe that is a recessive inherited trait. This is not unusual and doesn't cause hearing loss. |
| Seckel syndrome | Causes a missing earlobe, which failed to form. This syndrome does not cause hearing loss. |
