Allege Verb – to state or assert something; to accuse someone of something
Allusion Noun – a reference that is implied (subtle)
Amass Verb – to gather or collect things over time until it becomes a large amount
Amnesty Noun – a pardon for those who have committed political crimes
Annals Noun – a series of events in chronological order by year
Annihilate Verb – to destroy something entirely
Annul Verb – to make a legal document invalid
Anonymous Adjective – unknown name
Antagonistic Adjective – showing hostility
Antidote Noun – a substance that helps get rid of toxin or poison
Antipodes Noun – areas on opposite sides of the world
Appall Verb – to make be overcome with disgust or horror
Appeasement Noun – attempt to stop complaints by making exceptions
Aptitude Noun – ease in learning
Ardor Noun – intensity of feelings
Arduous Adjective – requiring hard work or difficult to overcome
Ascribe Verb – to believe something was caused by something else that is named
Aspire Verb – to seek to obtain a goal
Attribute to think of something that is caused by a circumstance
Avail Verb – to make use of something helpful while there is the opportunity
