What is a non renewable resource? a resource that can not be reused or replaced in a reasonable amount of time.

How long does it take to create fossil fuel? millions of years
What type of rock will have the best fossils? sedimentary
Which animal is a modern relative of the tiger from the past? cat
What is an aqueduct? pipes or ditches for water to travel through
How would a city that lives between a lake and an ocean help their town get water? build an aqueduct from the lake to the city
Would you use granite or sandstone to build a wall that you want to last a long time? granite
Why is granite stronger than sandstone? harder and it is created from magma that cools and hardens
What happens if a lake is covered with oil The water will not be able to evaporate and this will affect the water cycle.
What are the 3 R's of conserving resources? Reduce, Reuse, and Recycle
What does reduce mean? use fewer things and resources
What does reuse mean? keep using the same thing over
What does recycle mean? create a new item from an old resource
