What are the steps to care for conscious choking? check the scene+person, (if coughing encourage them), call 911, get consent, give 5 backblows, give 5 abdominal thrusts, continue until object comes out, they can breathe or they become unconscious
What are the ABC's? Airway, Breathing, Circulation
Airway check to see if they have an open airway and are breathing
Breathing check for sings of breathing, lookl isten and feel
Circluation check for a pulse for no more than ten seconds
What are the signs of a heart attack? discomfort, pressure or pain, pain that comes and goes, trouble breathing, sweat, persistent chest discomfort, radiating pain, dizziness, nausea, pale
What are the risk factors of a heart attack? junk food, generally men are younger when they get them , african americans, native americans, a history of heart disease
What is the cardiac chain of survival? Early recognition, and access(9110, Early CPR, Early AED, Early advanced medical care
Cardiac arrest heart stops
Heart attack arteries are blocked, heart doesn't stop, but beats irregularly-flutters
What do you do to treat a heart attack? give them asprin, call 911, tell them to rest
